OTFC IV 7 -1 Old Wokingians VIII

16th September 2017

It was a busy summer of transfer activity for OTFC 4s. The squad was strengthened by new player acquisitions in several areas and competition for places had been hot in pre season. There had also been changes on the leadership front; Conrad Bell coming in as vice captain.

After an even first 20 minutes against Old Wokingians 8s, Tiffs surged into a 3-1 lead at half time. Five more goals for Tiffs followed in the second half without return. Tiffs played free flowing passing football throughout. Special mentions go to James Punter who bagged a brace on his league debut, hatrick hero Ed Lambourn and man of the match Tom Flynn.

Finally, a big shout out to Haitham Khorma who played a typically impressive game at full back – excellent sliding tackles and surging runs down the wing – who dislocated his shoulder during the second half and was ambulanced to hospital (massive thanks to Maddie for helping out until it got there). Ironically it was Haitham’s final game for Tiffs. He has been a valuable part of the team over the last couple of years, a top lad and we wish him all the best for the future.

MOTM: Tom Flynn.
