So a classic six pointer, the test of nerves, the losers would have questions to ask, and before the international break would the losing manager survive the “international break”. It was Old Tiffinians V’s vs Old Wokingians VIII….

The game kicked off at frenzied pace with a number of debutants on show, the 10 men Tiffs took the game to the Wokingians early on and were ahead early as Kevin D slotted how a through pass to put the Tiff’s ahead.  Wokingians fought back with two goals and could have been still further ahead with less alert keeping.

The second half however was different, a penalty levelled up matters with a further number of heart stopping stops and the Tiffs were ahead, with an impressive brace by Kev B and control and poise of debutant Jake Rowe in the middle the Tiffs were now on top the 5th and 6th goals coming after a spell of sustained pressure by Wokingians and top goalkeeping by the Tiffs. Wes Bishop capped off his day and the Tiffs with a hat trick 3rd and the Tiffs fifths had achieved their first win of hopefully many.

Old Tiff’s V’s 6-3 Wokingian’s VIII
